The Standard
Built to the 17th standard.
Rho is the 17th letter of the Greek alphabet. In physics, it measures density — how much of something real is packed into a given form. In engineering, resistance — how well a material holds its ground.
That is the company we built. We design window treatments the way good engineers design anything: with attention to material, tolerance, movement, and longevity. Form and function as a single discipline.
A small workroom, considered methods.
RHO began in 2018 in a 60-square-metre workroom in Marrickville. Today our team of nine makers cuts, sews and finishes every order by hand — from a single bedroom roller to a 14-window heritage restoration.
We work only with mills we've visited: a fourth-generation linen weaver in Kortrijk, a family-owned mechanism shop in Geelong, and a thread maker outside Como. No drop-shipping, no white-labelling, no shortcuts.
Every piece is checked twice before it leaves us, and installed by the same team that made it. If something isn't right, we make it right — for as long as you own it.
